USPS dedicates Linda McCartney stamps
The photographer’s work was celebrated at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC
The Postal Service dedicated its Linda McCartney stamps on Friday, Sept. 25, in New York City.
The stamps celebrate the art and life of the photographer, author, musician and animal rights activist Linda McCartney with five stamps featuring images of her work.
“Linda McCartney’s life and work represents the best of what the USPS stamp program seeks to recognize: art that endures, art that enriches, art that uplifts people,” said Postmaster General David Steiner, who spoke at the ceremony.
“Across every part of her life — art, music and advocacy — Linda led with her heart. And that’s the legacy we hope these stamps capture,” he said.
The event, which was held at the Museum of Modern Art, also featured remarks from Mary McCartney, Linda and Paul McCartney’s daughter; and Rachel Smith, a partner at the Benrubi Gallery in New York.
Angie Martoccio, a senior writer at Rolling Stone, served as master of ceremonies.
“Linda McCartney’s work was pioneering — documenting music, art and culture with an eye that was both fearless and full of heart,” Martoccio said.
The program also included a video tribute and musical performances by Keisha “Shukah” Pierce, a New York jazz vocalist.
The Forever stamps are available in panes of 20 at Post Offices nationwide and at usps.com.

New cancellation highlights dog bite prevention
The special postmark will be used from Oct. 1 to Nov. 1
The Postal Service has issued a special postmark cancellation as a reminder of the organization’s commitment to dog bite prevention.
The cancellation mark features an image of a Labrador retriever with a hashtag promoting the campaign. It replaces the standard six wavy bars cancellation from Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, and it will be applied to mail processed on automated canceling machines.
In 2025, dog attacks on Postal Service employees dropped to a little more than 5,200 incidents nationwide.
