An animated video previews the upcoming 250 Years of Delivering release

The Postal Service’s upcoming 250 Years of Delivering stamp release comes to life in a new animated video.

The pane of 20 stamps, which USPS announced in April, depicts a cartoon letter carrier on her rounds through all four seasons.

The stamps will help mark the organization’s 250th anniversary in July.

USPS has also released a video to promote its upcoming 32-page booklet, “Putting a Stamp on the American Experience.”

The ‘Mailin’ It!’ podcast looks at how USPS prepares for fires, hurricanes, floods and more

The latest episode of “Mailin’ It,” the USPS podcast, looks into how the organization prepares for the many disasters that can affect operations.

The guest is Rae Ann Haight, the Postal Service’s national preparedness director.

The 33-minute episode, released June 24, is available on Link and other postal websites, as well as most podcast platforms.

Here’s a look at recent USPS announcements

LaRue V. Dickerson was named Roanoke, VA, postmaster. He previously served as customer services manager.

Alicia P. Ellis, strategic account development manager, was named acting retail, healthcare and federal accounts director.

Jason Johnson, inside sales director, was named acting shipping business alliance director. Douglas A. Lizotte, inside sales manager, was named acting inside sales director.

David P. Rouse, facilities real estate and assets director, was named acting headquarters facilities services director.

David E. Rupe was named mail transportation equipment director. He previously served as Westshores Division’s logistics operations support manager.
