USPS employees who need to acquire or dispose of furniture, equipment or other items should first check eDispose, the Postal Service’s centralized resource for redistributing excess items.
Employees can use the app to obtain excess supplies and other items from other USPS facilities, helping to reduce unnecessary purchases and making use of existing resources.
Managers at facilities with excess items should contact the Asset Accountability Service Center in their area to determine the appropriate disposition method for surplus items, including listing eligible items in eDispose redistribution.
The app is available to all employees and offers information on how to dispose of materials, including batteries, fluorescent lamps, collection boxes, e-waste, ink and toner, paint waste and more.
The eDispose app is available on Blue, under “Essential links,” or by going to edispose.usps.gov/edispose/edispose.html.
