Business customers help USPS strengthen service, Consumer and Industry Affairs VP Jim Nemec says in his latest “Point of View” video.
“The mailing industry gives us feedback critical to improving the Postal Service’s performances,” Nemec says.
USPS regularly meets with industry leaders in a range of venues, says Industry Engagement and Outreach Manager Judy de Torok, who also appears in the video.
“It is imperative for the Postal Service and the mailing industry to work together,” she says.
Examples include the Postal Customer Councils, which bring USPS and business leaders together at the local level, as well as the National Postal Forum, the industry’s annual trade show and conference.
The Mailers Technical Advisory Committee, which brings industry and postal leaders to harness technology, also plays a vital role, says Erv Drewek, the group’s newly elected industry chair.
“The engagement between the Postal Service and MTAC is very important as we move forward … into this more complex technology that we are facing nowadays,” Drewek says.
