Telework training due by June 13

The course covers responsibilities, effective communications and more

USPS employees and contractors who work remotely must complete every-other-year telework training by Thursday, June 13.

The course, called CyberSafe Teleworking: Working Remotely, is for employees and contractors with virtual private network or virtual desktop infrastructure and who are approved for telework.

The training covers teleworking responsibilities, the importance of communicating effectively, the applications that need to be always on, and tips for creating an effective at-home workspace, staying safe online and protecting devices and data.

It also covers the knowledge needed and the process details to telework securely.

The course is available through HERO on the MyHR website.

‘Healthy Snacking’

Postal Service employees may participate in an upcoming webinar offering tips on a more healthful approach to snacking.

The session, “Healthy Snacking,” will be held Thursday, April 25, from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern.

Representatives from Kaiser Permanente, a provider of health plans for federal employees, will lead the discussion.

Participants must register before the event on the webinar website.

Participation is voluntary. Nonexempt employees must be off the clock or on authorized breaks.

Employees with questions can email the Benefits and Wellness team.

WestPac, IA-NE-SD are scanning leaders again

A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 97.18 percent during the week ending April 12, up 0.11 percent from one week earlier.

The data was collected April 17.

WestPac led the four areas with a rating of 97.59 percent, while Southern ranked last with a 96.37 percent rating.

Among the 50 districts, Iowa-Nebraska-South Dakota, part of WestPac Area, ranked first with a 98.33 percent rating, while Georgia, part of Southern Area, ranked last with a 93.3 percent rating.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.
