Linda K. Crawford has been named Southern Area vice president.
She has held this position on an acting basis since April.
Crawford is responsible for retail and delivery operations in 11 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and a workforce of more than 124,000 employees.
Before serving as acting vice president, she was California District 4 manager.
Crawford also served as postmaster for San Diego and Sacramento in California and was delivery programs support manager for WestPac Area.
She began her career with the Postal Service in 1989 as a letter carrier.
