In the glow of the semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence, the Postal Service reflects upon its own history and future potential, The Eagle magazine reports in its summer issue.
The cover story looks at how USPS can optimize its public service mission, its unparalleled national network and its inimitable employees to elevate its role as a vital common thread in the national fabric.
Other topics include a stylish semiquincentennial collaboration with Ralph Lauren that yielded the American Icons stamps and more; an exploration of the Postal Service’s role in helping members of the military and their families stay connected; and a look at the organization’s ties to several of the country’s presidents with postal employment backgrounds.
The issue also includes a brief reader survey, accessible here or by scanning a QR code on the back cover. Your opinions are valued and will help the magazine be your window into what USPS is doing and planning to make the organization the undisputed leader in mailing and shipping.
The Postal Service mailed The Eagle to employees’ homes in July. It is also available on Newsroom, the USPS online news hub.
