The Postal Service will release its Diagonal U.S. Flag Stamped Envelope Friday, Aug. 7, in Linthicum Heights, MD.

The stamped envelope features a red-white-and-blue digital image of a detail of the U.S. flag shown at an angle.

Five red stripes and four white stripes run diagonally across the right side of the stamp image. At the top left, a portion of the blue field appears with 23 white stars. The words “USA” and “FOREVER” appear at the bottom in black lettering.

Bryan Duefrene, a senior stamp development specialist, designed the stamp image.

The envelope is being issued as a Forever stamped envelope, meaning it will always be equal in value to the stamped envelope rate at time of use.

The Diagonal U.S. Flag Stamped Envelope is available at Post Offices and on usps.com.
