Delivery data, kiosks also highlighted

WestPac was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Oct. 6, while California 6 finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot. A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 95.38 percent during the week ending Oct. 6, down -0.58% from one week earlier.

The data was collected Oct. 11.

WestPac led the four areas with a rating of 96.11 percent, while Southern ranked last with a 94.37 percent rating.

Among the 50 districts, California 6, part of WestPac Area, ranked first with a 97.65 percent rating, while Florida 1, part of Southern Area, ranked last with an 87.94 percent rating.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.

Terminal upgrades: USPS self-service kiosks now allow customers to print prepaid and no-postage-necessary shipping labels using the Label Broker service.

Customers can bring their package and Label Broker ID, either as a printout or on a mobile device, to a self-service kiosk. They then can select “Scan QR code for Label” and scan the Label Broker ID when prompted.

The label will then be printed for the customer to affix to the package.

After adding the label, a customer can scan the package for acceptance and drop it off at the Post Office.

Delivery data. From July 1-Sept. 29, the Postal Service delivered 91.5 percent of First-Class Mail on time when compared with the organization’s service standard, according to data released last week.

During the same period, USPS delivered 95.2 percent of Marketing Mail and 86.3 percent of Periodicals on time, the figures show.
