Delivery data, new postcard also highlighted

WestPac was the area leader in scanning during the week ending Aug. 18, while California 2 finished first among the districts.

Scanning snapshot: A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 95.60 percent during the week ending Aug. 18, down -0.05 percent from one week earlier.

The data was collected Aug. 23.

WestPac led the four areas with a rating of 96.57 percent, while Central ranked last with a 94.76 percent rating.

Among the 50 districts, California 2, part of WestPac Area, ranked first with a 97.55 percent rating, while Illinois 1, part of Central Area, ranked last with an 86.48 percent rating.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.

Calling card: The USPS Sales team has created a “could not reach you” postcard that will be mailed to customers who are identified through sales leads submitted by employees as part of the LEADing Together program.

Customers will receive this card if sales representatives are unable to make contact by phone or email.

Delivery data. From July 1-Aug. 11, the Postal Service delivered 91.3 percent of First-Class Mail on time when compared with the organization’s service standard, according to data released last week.

During the same period, USPS delivered 95.2 percent of Marketing Mail 85.6 xxx percent of Periodicals on time, the figures show.
