Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating slipped to 96.85 percent during the week ending April 10, down from 97.21 percent one week earlier and the third consecutive weekly decline.
All seven areas and most of the 67 districts saw week-to-week drops.
Western, the area leader with a rating of 97.62 percent, was down 0.44 percent from one week earlier, while Dakotas, the top-rated district with a rating of 98.82 percent, was down one-third of a percentage point from the previous week.
Among the areas, Pacific recorded the biggest improvement with a rating of 96.85 percent, moving into fourth place from the sixth slot one week earlier. The biggest gainer among the districts was Appalachian, which moved into 14th place from the 52nd spot one week earlier with a rating of 97.71 percent.
Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.
