Brix to conclude 33-year postal career

Great Lakes Area Vice President Erica Brix began her postal career in 1986 a letter-sorting machine clerk.

Great Lakes Area Vice President Erica Brix will retire April 30 after a 33-year career with the Postal Service.

Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan, who announced Brix’s retirement in a memo last week, praised her as an “indispensable part of executing the Postal Service’s strategic initiatives.”

Brix has led Great Lakes Area since January 2019, overseeing all postal operations and approximately 77,000 employees across Michigan, Illinois and parts of Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri.

During her tenure, accidents in Great Lakes fell 18.5 percent, the Postal Service’s highest safety performance improvement so far this fiscal year. Brix also promoted more than 100 executives.

Previously, Brix was operations support manager for Western Area and senior plant manager at the Minneapolis Processing and Distribution Center.

She began her Postal Service career in 1986 as a letter-sorting machine clerk in Minneapolis.
