HERO offers Universal Profile feature

HERO home page
HERO’s Universal Profile feature allows you to share your career aspirations with your manager and connect with colleagues who have similar goals.

To help mark National Career Development Month in November, the Postal Service is encouraging you to use HERO’s Universal Profile feature.

HERO is the new system that allows you to manage career development activities from a single online platform.

The Universal Profile feature allows you to share your career aspirations with your manager and connect with colleagues who have similar goals.

The feature consists of three tabs:

  • About, which allows you to upload a photo of yourself and list your contact information, including your interests and team structure
  • Resume, which serves as a professional profile, including your current and recent positions, education and training, skills, awards and volunteer activities
  • Career Preferences, which provides a summary of your interests and aspirations

Universal Profile is available to all non-bargaining employees.

“Universal Profile can help you showcase your experience, education and skills across the organization while building stronger, more diverse networks. This can help postal leaders better understand the professional goals of their teams and foster more meaningful career development conversations with their employees,” said Tyann Kinard, leadership and career development manager at USPS headquarters in Washington, DC.

Log into the HERO portal to set up your Universal Profile. The HERO Information and Support Blue page has additional information on Universal Profile, including reference guides and FAQs.
