USPS is giving employees more time to complete mandatory cybersecurity training.

The deadline to complete two CyberSafe at USPS training courses has been extended to Sunday, Oct. 7.

USPS granted the extension to accommodate employees who were affected by Hurricane Florence and those helping with the recovery efforts.

Every employee with an ACE ID must complete the following courses by the new deadline:

• CyberSafe Fundamentals Part I and Part II. This course provides users with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to adhere to cybersecurity best practices and policies that help protect USPS information.

• CyberSafe 201: Data Protection. This course provides best practices for handling sensitive and sensitive-enhanced information to keep USPS information secure.

The courses, part of the Postal Service’s annual cybersecurity training requirements, are available only through the HERO learning portal, which will soon replace the Learning Management System.

Employees with questions can contact CyberSafeComms@usps.gov.
