Strengthening customer service throughout the mailing and shipping industry will be a focus of this year’s National Postal Forum (NPF), which will be held from May 6-9 in San Antonio.
The annual meeting, which is marking its 50th year in 2018, brings together USPS and industry leaders, business customers and other professionals.
This year’s theme, “Informed Customers,” underscores the focus on delivering excellent customer experiences, a core USPS business strategy. The theme also reflects the importance of Informed Delivery, the mail notification service that will be showcased throughout NPF.
“Collaboration and partnerships are essential to building opportunities and enhancing customers’ experiences,” said Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan. “The Postal Service leadership team and I look forward to participating in this year’s National Postal Forum and discussing new ways to work with the mailing and shipping industry to serve our customers.”
In addition to Brennan’s keynote address, the agenda includes many USPS officer-led workshops and panel discussions.
Other highlights will include sessions with the Postal Customer Councils and the Mailing Industry Areas Inspiring Mail focus groups, as well as multiple sessions on direct mail, customer data analytics, emerging technologies, shipping innovations and mail center operations.
NPF also offers educational workshops, professional development courses and an exhibit hall where more than 100 vendors will display products and services.
