PMG discusses peak period in interviews

USPS is helping customers meet their holiday needs, PMG Megan J. Brennan told radio listeners across the nation this week.

During a series of interviews, the PMG said the organization will deliver 15 billion pieces of mail this holiday season, including 850 million packages.

“The Postal Service is uniquely positioned to deliver the holidays — whether it’s at the doorstep, the neighborhood Post Office or online at,” Brennan told WPHT-AM in Philadelphia.

The PMG said the Postal Service has added new equipment in plants, leased more than 1,000 additional vehicles and expanded Sunday package deliveries in select areas.

Brennan also discussed holiday mailing deadlines, seasonal stamps and Informed Delivery.
