The Postal Service’s Informed Delivery service has received a World Post & Parcel Award in the e-commerce category.
The awards honor delivery organizations that use innovation and creativity in their business operations.
Informed Delivery, which USPS is testing, provides customers with digital previews of their incoming mail.
“This new service is revolutionizing the way people think of mail,” said New Products and Innovation VP Gary Reblin.
“When consumers receive a digital preview of their mail that will be delivered that day, they can then instantly shop online from the interactive content they’ll receive in their mailbox.”
Informed Delivery is expected to be available as a mobile app soon.
