The Postal Service’s seventh upcoming park stamp will showcase Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, part of Alaska’s famous Inside Passage.
USPS previewed the stamp April 12. The stamp image shows the bay, which spans 3.3 million acres of rugged mountains, dramatic glaciers and deep-sheltered fjords.
The stamp is one of 16 on a pane that will commemorate the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary in 2016. The stamp images are being released individually throughout April.
Everglades National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Bandelier National Monument, Assateague Island National Seashore, Arches National Park and Acadia National Park images have been released so far.
The full pane will be dedicated June 2 at the World Stamp Show in New York City.
Individuals are asked to spread the news on social media using the hashtags #NPSStamps, #FindYourPark and #NPS100.
