New retail and Post Office operations VP named

Jennifer Vo, formerly a district manager, will fill the position

Jennifer Vo has been named retail and Post Office operations vice president.

She succeeds Elvin Mercado, who served in the position until last year.

Vo will oversee the Postal Service’s retail network, including more than 31,000 Post Offices. She will also be responsible for the field maintenance organization — managing maintenance services for Post Offices and branches.

She most recently was California 6 District manager.

Prior to that, she served as delivery strategy and policy director, city delivery operations director, acting manager of the former Philadelphia District, and postmaster in Philadelphia and Memphis, TN.

Vo joined the Postal Service in 1994 as a letter carrier.

How to avoid falling for an imposter scam

The ‘Mailin’ It!’ podcast offers tips from an Inspection Service expert

The latest episode of “Mailin’ It,” the USPS podcast, talks about the most common imposter scams, including phishing, smishing and fake package delivery alerts.

The guest is Brian Coleman, the Postal Inspection Service’s mail fraud program manager.

The 33-minute episode, released March 4, is available on Link and other postal websites, as well as most podcast platforms.

‘Nutrition and Gut Health’

Postal Service employees may participate in an upcoming webinar that will show you how to improve your gut health and achieve

greater balance in all areas through diet and lifestyle modifications.

The session, “Nutrition and Gut Health,” will be held Thursday, March 13, from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern.

Representatives from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield,

a provider of health plans for federal employees, will lead the discussion.

Participants must register before the event on the webinar website.

Participation is voluntary. Nonexempt employees must be off the clock or on authorized breaks.

Employees who have questions can email the USPS Benefits and Wellness team.

Freshwater Fishing Lures stamp ceremony

The Postal Service will dedicate its Freshwater Fishing Lures stamps on Thursday, March 13, in Springfield, MO.

The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Central at

the Bass Pro Shops’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, 500 W. Sunshine St.

The speakers will include John DiPeri, the Postal Service’s Western Region vice president.

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP online.

WestPac Area, MN-ND District lead in scanning

A snapshot of Postal Service scanning data shows the national rating was 96.85 percent during the week ending Feb. 28, down 0.4 percent from one week earlier.

The data was collected March 5.

WestPac led the four areas with a rating of 97.42 percent, while Central ranked last with a 96.03 percent rating.

Among the 50 districts, Minnesota-North Dakota, part of Central Area, ranked first with a 98.19 percent rating, while

Louisiana, part of Southern Area, ranked last with a 93.30 percent rating.

Scanning data allows customers to track their mail and packages, which helps USPS deliver excellent service, boost loyalty and drive revenue.

To see the latest data, go to the Informed Visibility website

and select “Customer Experience,” followed by “DES 2 Scan Performance.” Postal Service employees must request Informed Visibility access through eAccess.
