Logistics has a new senior vice president

Pete Routsolias joined USPS in 2020

Pete Routsolias has been named logistics senior vice president for the Postal Service, a role he has filled on an acting basis since June.

Routsolias joined USPS in 2020 as transportation strategy vice president.

Previously, Routsolias served as transportation senior vice president for Ashley Distribution Services; transportation vice president for Univar Solutions; and transportation and network planning vice president for XPO Logistics.

He has also held executive positions at Schneider Logistics, Exel Logistics, DSC Logistics and Roadway Express.

Daniel R. Holzmann was named maintenance support specialist at the Trenton, NJ, Processing and Distribution Center. He previously served as maintenance operations supervisor.

Lolita C. Starling, mail and shipping solutions center manager, was named Central Area’s acting facilities customer relations manager.

Robert M. Walker was named the Milwaukee Processing and Distribution Center’s acting plant manager. He previously served as the Champaign, IL, Processing and Distribution Center plant manager.

‘What Your Heart Wants’

Postal Service employees may participate in an upcoming webinar that will offer tips and practical ways to protect and maintain a healthy heart.

The session, “What Your Heart Wants,” will be held Wednesday, Feb. 5, from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern.

Representatives from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, a provider of health plans for federal employees, will lead the discussion.

Participants must register before the event on the webinar website.

Participation is voluntary. Nonexempt employees must be off the clock or on authorized breaks.

Employees who have questions can email the USPS Benefits and Wellness team.

The ‘Mailin’ It!’ podcast looks at the mailing and shipping industry

The latest episode of “Mailin’ It,” the Postal Service podcast, looks at the central role USPS plays in the mailing and shipping industry.

The guest is Lindsey Taylor, the organization’s industry engagement and outreach director.

The 23-minute episode, released Jan. 28, is available on Link and other postal websites, as well as most podcast platforms.
