Here’s a look at recent USPS announcements
• Mack A. Harmon Jr., the Delaware Processing and Distribution Center’s plant manager, was named the St. Louis Processing and Distribution Center’s acting plant manager.
• Kimberly B. Levenson was named manager of the Human Resources Shared Service Center in Greensboro, NC. She previously served as the center’s operations manager.
• Michael C. Payne, human resources technology program manager, was named workforce planning insights and analytics acting director.
• Dikchya Perry, business planning and analysis manager, was named field budget development acting manager.

USPS wins two licensing excellence awards
USPS won both categories for which it was nominated in the Licensing International Excellence Awards. The winners were announced last week.
The organization took top prize in the Best Brand — Corporate category, besting fellow nominees Dr. Scholl’s, Girl Scouts of the USA, Hershey’s, Kodak and Scotts Miracle-Gro.
True Crime Stories, a Postal Inspection Service-branded interactive game, took top honors in the Best Licensed Product — Toys, Games, Novelties, Role Play (ages 8+) category.
The wins mark the first time USPS has won any licensing competition.

The Postal Service is looking for employees to appear in this year’s holiday campaign
The Postal Service is inviting employees to audition for this year’s holiday advertising campaign.
Employees who are selected to participate could be featured in a variety of ads, including TV commercials.
The casting call is open to all employees. No prior acting experience is required.
The USPS Employee Casting website has instructions on creating and submitting audition videos and uploading a current headshot. Employees who have trouble accessing the site from a postal computer should try using a personal device or a home computer.
The employee casting website is accessible year-round. USPS conducts advertising campaigns throughout the year that need on-screen participation from its workforce. Employee submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Filming for this year’s holiday commercials is expected to start in late summer.

Handling the mail is the Postal Service’s sacred trust
Employees should never steal, delay or destroy letters and packages
The Postal Service is reminding employees of their duty to protect the sanctity of the mail.
USPS delivers important items such as medications, bills, payments, gifts for loved ones and other items of value to its customers every day.
Customers put their trust in the Postal Service. Each letter and package should be treated with care and respect. Letters and packages should be delivered to their destination on time and untampered with.
Mail theft and the willful delay, damaging or destruction of mail erode the public’s trust and drive customers away.
Employees who steal, delay or destroy mail can face administrative action — including removal from employment — and criminal prosecution.
Employees who are having trouble delivering on their assigned routes should speak with a supervisor.
The free, voluntary USPS Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available 24/7 to assist any employee, including those experiencing personal issues that may be affecting their ability to properly perform their job duties.
