Her customer fell out of a car

This carrier helped a woman who had a broken leg

Rural Carrier Rhonda Craven was delivering mail in Lexington, NC, recently when she heard someone yelling for help.

The Postal Service employee found the 86-year-old customer sitting in a carport with a broken leg.

The customer had tripped over the car’s seatbelt while exiting her vehicle and fell.

Craven called 911 and stayed with the woman until paramedics arrived.

After putting her leg in a splint, the responders took her to a nearby hospital where she received treatment.

The customer has since returned home.
