Her customer slipped on an icy porch

This Postal Service employee found the fallen woman and went for help

City Carrier Assistant Deuna Riley was delivering mail to a home in Crystal Lake, IL, recently when she found a customer who had fallen on the porch.

The woman was attempting to retrieve a stray piece of trash when she slipped on some ice.

The customer asked the Postal Service employee to go into the house and find her husband.

Riley and the customer’s husband helped the woman into her home.

The customer, who did not have any significant injuries, later sent a letter to Crystal Lake’s postmaster acknowledging Riley’s help and professionalism.
