It’s the question everyone has questions about.
The Postal Pulse survey that USPS administered in 2015 asked, “Do you have a best friend at work?”
Chief Human Resources Officer Jeff Williamson says the question helps measure how employees feel about their workplace.
For example, employees are much more likely to maintain excellent attendance if they know their best friend is going to have to pick up the slack, Williamson says in a new video about the Postal Pulse.
“It becomes [a situation where employees say] ‘I’m not letting down the organization, I’m letting down my friend,’” he says.
More information and previous videos are available on the Postal Pulse page on Blue. Employees are encouraged to email their feedback to ThePostalPulse@usps.gov.
