The USPS Wellness team is encouraging employees to join the Well Traveled challenge, a six-week interactive program that helps build behaviors for lifelong wellness while virtually traveling the United States.
Employees can use their personal, nonpostal devices to log into the Well Traveled website or download the program app to track physical activity, access hundreds of recipes, answer trivia and support one another on message boards.
Participants can record steps manually, by using a tracking device, or by using an activity converter tool provided by the program.
Employees are encouraged to create teams of 4-5 members and help each other stay motivated. Participating in small groups can make the challenge more engaging and provides an opportunity for team building.
The program is open to all USPS employees, including family members ages 13 and older.
The Well Traveled challenge runs Sept. 12-Oct. 23.
Employees can register on the Well Traveled website Aug. 29-Sept. 20.
This voluntary challenge is sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, a provider of health benefit plans for federal employees. Nonexempt employees may only participate off the clock or during authorized breaks.
