New vice president

Henry to lead Central Area

Central Area Vice President Eric E. Henry

Eric E. Henry has been named Central Area vice president, a role he has filled on an acting basis since July.

As vice president, Henry will be responsible for improving the customer experience, using technology and analytics, as well as increasing employee engagement.

In a memo last week announcing the appointment, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy cited the work Henry has already done streamlining operations and ensuring employees understand the role they play in the Postal Service’s success.

“Eric’s experience in retail and delivery operations, mail processing and customer service will continue to prove invaluable as he leads the Central Area toward continuing improvement,” DeJoy wrote.

Henry has been with USPS for 33 years. Among the positions he has held are district manager, area delivery programs support manager and postmaster.

Last year, he was honored with a Safety Leadership and Vision Award.
