City Carrier Assistant Christopher Hill was delivering mail one day last summer in Edgewater, FL, when he spotted an older customer who’d fallen outside her home, sustaining a head injury.
Hill rushed to aid the woman, safely carrying her inside as he yelled for her brother in the backyard to call 911.
Paramedics soon arrived and took her to a hospital, where she spent several days in intensive care before continuing her recovery at home.
Several of the woman’s family members later mailed a letter to the local Post Office.
“Our mere words cannot express our deep appreciation,” they wrote. “We thank God for sending her an angel at the perfect time.”
