Scanning scorecard

Western Area, Portland District still lead pack

Scanning
Timely and accurate scanning is a basic customer requirement.

The Postal Service averaged a 96.56 percent scanning rating during the week ending Oct. 9, virtually unchanged from one week earlier.

Western (97.18 percent) continued to lead the areas, followed by Capital Metro (96.97 percent) and Great Lakes (96.62 percent).

Western also has the week’s top-scoring districts: Portland (97.93 percent) and Dakotas (97.69 percent), which moved up one spot from last week. Capital Metro’s Baltimore District (97.53 percent) climbed 15 spots to take third.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.

Scores and standings change continually. To see the latest results, go to the Enterprise Analytics site and use the Dashboards menu bar to select DES 2.

Informational videos about scanning are available at USPS-TV.
