The Postal Service has a new online application that makes it easier for managers to complete the separation clearance checklists required for employees who are about to retire, resign, transfer or be reassigned.
The Employee Management Tool allows managers to complete the separation checklists online for employees who have been properly cleared.
The tool, also known as EMT, streamlines the clearance process, including the suspension of computer access and audits, while adhering to USPS security standards.
The EMT application is an alternative to the PS Form 292 Headquarters Clearance Checklist and PS Form 337 Clearance Record for Separated Employee paper forms.
