Aramark, the hospitality vendor that manages the Postal Service’s training and conference properties in Maryland and Oklahoma, is offering holiday dinners for pickup.
The Bolger Center in Potomac, MD, and the National Center for Employee Development (NCED) in Norman, OK, both have restaurants, in addition to hotels and conference rooms.
At Bolger, main course options include chicken, ham, beef tenderloin, smoked salmon and crab cakes. A variety of side dishes, desserts and other accompaniments are also available.
The menu and order form are available on the Bolger Center’s website.
At NCED, dinner options include ham, beef tenderloin and lamb, along with salads, side dishes and desserts.
To place an order at NCED, call 405-447-9000; online ordering is not available.
Orders at both Bolger and NCED must be placed by Wednesday, Dec. 16, for pickup on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
The holiday dinner offerings, along with a similar Thanksgiving dinner offering in November, are part of an effort by Aramark and the Postal Service to recoup lost revenue at both locations as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Each restaurant’s kitchen is overseen by an executive chef: Justin Key at Bolger and Roy Erwin at NCED.
Isaac Cronkhite, the Postal Service’s chief logistics and processing operations officer, ordered Thanksgiving dinner from Bolger for his family and gave the meal two thumbs up.
“My dad is a retired chef and I enjoy cooking, but having Chef Justin and the Bolger team do all the hard work and prepare a fabulous Thanksgiving feast for me and my family was a real treat,” he said.
