Letter Carrier Benjamin Dickey was recently delivering mail in a Youngstown, OH, neighborhood when he heard someone yelling “Mr. Mailman!”
Dickey soon located a customer across the road who had fallen in her garage and couldn’t get up on her own.
The Postal Service employee helped the woman to her feet, and she declined further assistance.
Dickey checked on the customer two days later.
The woman, who had been fearful she would be stranded for a long time, assured him she was fine and thanked him again for coming to her aid.
