Due to the extreme weather conditions, USPS will temporarily suspend delivery service in some locations Thursday, Jan. 31, to ensure the safety and well-being of employees.
The Midwest and other areas have been gripped by record-breaking low temperatures and dangerous wind chills this week. The Postal Service also suspended delivery in some locations Jan. 30.
The organization will assess suspending service in other delivery areas based on temperature and wind chill forecasts.
