Scanning snapshot. The Postal Service’s national scanning rating was 97.65 percent during the week ending Jan. 18, up from one week earlier.

Western (98 percent) led the areas, while Dakotas (98.98 percent) topped the districts.

Scanning allows customers to track their packages and mail, and it helps USPS improve efficiency and network management.

Celebrating Informed Delivery. The Postal Service is continuing to seek submissions for its Next Generation Campaign Awards, which celebrate innovative mail campaigns that include Informed Delivery.

Submissions are due Friday, Feb. 15. Winners will be announced at the National Postal Forum in May.
