Honoring leaders. The Postal Service is seeking nominations for its third annual Engagement Leader of the Year Awards, which honor leaders who foster enthusiasm, involvement and commitment among their teams and peers.
USPS will recognize leaders at the district, area and headquarters levels, culminating with one or more honorees who will receive national awards.
The awards are part of the Postal Service’s broader efforts to engage, equip and empower employees, a core strategy.
Suncoast District Manager Eric Chavez and Pacific Area Deputy Managing Counsel Catherine Meek received National Engagement Leader of the Year Awards during the 2017 competition.
Nominees for this year’s awards must be Executive and Administrative Schedule (EAS) or Postal Career Executive Services (PCES) employees in leadership positions and have employees who report directly to them.
The nomination forms and instructions will be available on the Employee Engagement Blue and LiteBlue pages, beginning Monday, Oct. 1. Nominations will be accepted from Oct. 1-31.
Postal Bulletin. The Postal Bulletin’s Sept. 27 issue includes an Election Mail communications plan.
The materials include background information; a list of important dates; explanations of Election Mail, Political Mail and Franked Mail; key messages; label and tagging requirements; guidelines for customers in the military; and more.
