When you care enough to scent the very best, the Postal Service has you covered.
Frozen Treats, the first scratch-and-sniff stamps in the organization’s history, were dedicated June 20 in Austin, TX, where they received a warm reception.
Scratch that.
The reception was cool — in the best sense.
USPS held the event at the Thinkery children’s museum, where speakers encouraged the young and young-at-heart to use the Frozen Treats stamps when mailing letters, postcards, party invitations and more.
“The Frozen Treats stamps offer the latest innovation in stamp design, which means you can add the sweet scent of summer to your cards and letters. It’s a fun way to enjoy the stamps, but it’s even more fun to share the experience with your friends and family,” said Finance and Planning Vice President Luke Grossmann, who led the dedication.
The stamps feature watercolor illustrations of ice pops and are available in booklets of 20. Each design shows two different treats.
Frozen Treats marks another stamp innovation from USPS.
Last year, the organization released Total Eclipse of the Sun, a stamp that uses thermochromic ink and changes when you touch it, and Have a Ball!, a pane of 16 stamps that have the look and feel of balls used in eight sports.
