Retail Associate Michael Bradford was on duty recently at the Blanding, UT, Post Office when a customer alerted him to an emergency: A man had fallen in front of the building — striking his head — and was bleeding profusely.
Bradford rushed outside with paper towels to render first aid to the man, who declined the Postal Service employee’s offer to call for an ambulance.
Bradford then enlisted a bystander to drive the fall victim to a hospital.
“Mike went above and beyond in caring for this individual,” said Blanding Postmaster Scott Middleton.
“He’s always willing to lend a helping hand.”
