Tree of honor. The Cinnaminson, NJ, Post Office recently planted a tree to honor Sean Cullen, a New Jersey state trooper killed last year.
Cullen’s uncle, Cinnaminson Letter Carrier Dave Cullen, spoke at the tree dedication ceremony, which was attended by relatives, friends, law enforcement officers and community leaders.
“The dedication was a great honor for the entire Cullen family,” Dave Cullen said. “We are all truly touched.”
The crape myrtle tree stands next to a plaque bearing Sean Cullen’s name. The 31-year-old trooper died in 2016 after being struck by a vehicle while responding to a car fire.
Riverton, NJ, Postmaster Tina Horner organized the event.
“I am proud that I had the opportunity to show this family and this community that the Post Office truly cares about its employees and the communities we all serve,” she said.
