The national scanning score was 96.57 percent during the week ending May 15, a slight drop from one week earlier.
Capital Metro (97.04 percent) led the areas, followed by Southern (96.89 percent) and Great Lakes (96.71 percent).
The districts were led by Portland (98.13 percent), followed by Sacramento (97.77 percent) and Western New York (97.71 percent).
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
