It didn’t take Wonder Woman’s golden lasso of truth to get fans to express their true feelings about the Postal Service’s recent announcement of four stamps commemorating the 75th anniversary of the iconic superhero.
Enthusiastic comments have been posted on social media during the past week.
“I’m sooo getting these! … Expect some letters people,” one admirer wrote in response to a USPS Facebook post that has been shared more than 2,300 times so far.
A fan on Twitter said, “I need these #WonderWomanForever stamps! Calendar invite set to pick these up in October! Brilliant move @USPS!”
Another fan tweeted, “Wonder Woman gets an official stamp collection for her diamond anniversary, and it’s BEAUTIFUL.”
Even Lynda Carter — Wonder Woman herself on the 1970s TV series — gave her stamp of approval.
“WW’s 75th Anniversary is going to be celebrated on US Forever stamps!! So exciting. xo,” the actress tweeted, as noted by the Los Angeles Times.
USPS will dedicate the stamps, depicting Wonder Woman in four eras of her extensive history, Oct. 7 at New York Comic-Con.
