The scene that greeted Lynn, MA, Letter Carrier David Crowley on a recent morning alarmed him: a car idling in the street, a hypodermic needle discarded nearby, a young man slumped behind the wheel.
Crowley feared the man had overdosed. He located a police officer, who investigated and called in support, leading to the overdose victim being revived on the scene and hospitalized.
“David’s quick thinking, I believe, saved this person’s life,” Customer Services Manager Dan Tobin said.
