National scanning performance for the week ending Jan. 9 was 96.07 percent, up almost half a point from the previous week.
Southern Area maintained its hold on first place as of Jan. 14, with a rating of 96.37 percent. Eastern (97.32 percent) rose from fourth place the previous week to second. Western Area (96.27 percent) finished third.
The district standings remained volatile. Arkansas grabbed first place with a 97.53 percent score, followed by Oklahoma at 97.44 percent. Sacramento (97.24 percent) climbed from fifth place the previous week to take third.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps boost the Postal Service’s efficiency and strengthens the management of its network.
