‘The Inspectors’ receives award

“The Inspectors” was recently honored with a Parents’ Choice Recommended Award.

Parents and experts agree: “The Inspectors” is quality programming for families.

The TV series recently received a Parents’ Choice Recommended Award, a commendation that assures parents the show has passed a stringent evaluation process.

“The Inspectors,” which follows the Postal Inspection Service as it investigates mail fraud and other crimes, was recommended for audiences ages 13-16.

The Parents’ Choice Awards recognize the best material for children, according to the program’s site.

The awards’ committees look for entertaining and educational products that stimulate imagination and inspire creativity.

“The series teaches viewers of all ages how to avoid becoming crime victims,” Chief Postal Inspector Guy Cottrell said. “It demonstrates the integral role of the Postal Inspection Service to USPS.”

The crimes depicted on “The Inspectors” are based on true events from the Inspection Service’s files.

“It is a special honor to be recognized by the Parents’ Choice Foundation,” Dave Morgan, chief executive of Litton Entertainment, which produces “The Inspectors,” told TVNewsCheck.

CBS stations air the show at varying times on Saturday mornings. Visit CBSDreamTeam.com for local air times and to view past episodes.
