The Postal Service dedicated the Botanical Art stamps Jan. 29 at an American Philatelic Society event in Atlanta.
The stamp art features 10 individual designs based on vintage illustrations taken from 19th- and early 20th-century plant and seed catalogs.
“These gorgeous images will travel on letters and packages to millions of homes and businesses throughout America,” said Capital Metro Area VP Kristin Seaver, who spoke at the ceremony.
The dedication also featured American Philatelic Society Executive Director Scott English; Austin Foo, the organization’s young philatelic leader; and Atlanta Botanical Garden Horticulture Vice President Mildred Pinnell Fockele.
