The Postal Service and the National Postal Mail Handlers Union, or NPMHU, have selected Alan Symonette to serve as the neutral arbitrator on the arbitration panel for the upcoming interest arbitration proceedings.
Arbitrator Symonette is a former president of the National Academy of Arbitrators and has served as an arbitrator across multiple industries in the private and public sectors for more than 30 years.
The parties are in the process of establishing dates for the proceedings.
The NPMHU represents more than 55,000 employees nationwide.
