“Nonpublic USPS information” is information learned through Postal Service jobs that an employee should reasonably know is not publicly available.

The Postal Service is reminding employees that they cannot use or allow others to use nonpublic USPS information to further their own private interests or the interests of others.

“Nonpublic USPS information” is information employees learn through their Postal Service jobs that they know, or reasonably should know, is not publicly available.

For example, employees cannot share inside information about a contract solicitation with a family member who is submitting a bid for that contract.

Employees with questions can email the USPS Ethics Office or call 202-268-6346.

More information and resources are available on the Ethics page on Blue.
