The Postal Service is reminding career employees they can save on eligible transit and parking costs through the USPS Commuter Program.
In 2026, the program will allow participants to set aside up to $340 a month for transit and up to $340 a month for parking, tax-free.
Covered transit expenses include bus, ferry, train and trolley tickets and vanpool fees. Covered parking expenses include meters, garages and lots.
There is no fee to join or cancel, and changes can be made any time throughout the year.
More information about the program, including eligible and ineligible expenses, can be found on the MyHR website’s Commuter Program page.
Employees with questions should email the USPS Benefits and Wellness team.
