Your article, “This partnership has lasted for 250 years,” made me reminisce about my service as a young Marine serving halfway around the globe. There is nothing like receiving a letter from home. The joy that mail call brings to service men and women separated from their families in faraway places cannot be overstated. I will always be grateful to the Postal Service and the military mail clerks who perform this thankless duty.
