It’s inspiring to read articles such as the one about Alex Newell, the Pittsburgh letter carrier who is following in the footsteps of his dad David Newell, who played the speedy deliveryman on “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” To think that the younger Mr. Newell came to USPS after pursuing an acting career and ended up falling into his own “Truman Show.” What an amazing story!

I loved watching “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” with my kids as they grew up. One of my favorite characters was Mr. McFeely. As a postal clerk, I sometimes find myself saying, “speedy delivery!” when I deliver a package to someone.

The timing of the Link story about Alex Newell was just about perfect. A few weeks ago, I decided to watch the first episode of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” in all its nostalgic glory. This got me thinking about “speedy delivery” and I ended up Googling Mr. McFeely. Your article added some interesting details.

I loved the article about Alex Newell, the son of the speedy deliveryman from “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” who grew up to be a letter carrier himself. Now that’s neighborhood magic! Thanks for the touching and wonderful story.

“Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” was one of my favorite shows on PBS. This story really brightened my day and makes working for USPS even a little better than it already was.

Well, that apple didn’t fall far from the tree. That’s the coolest story I’ve read in a while. Thank you for sharing.
