Carrier Technician Joseph Kornack was delivering a package in San Francisco recently when he came upon a woman who had fainted on the sidewalk.
The woman’s daughter, Catherine Chin, was kneeling beside her.
Kornack held the unconscious woman’s head off the ground while the daughter called 911.
The Postal Service employee stayed with the women until paramedics arrived.
Chin later sent a letter to the local Post Office expressing her gratitude for Kornack’s assistance.
