City Carrier Assistant Carlos Greenway was delivering mail to an apartment complex in Milan, TN, recently when he heard someone in one of the units screaming for help.

As he approached the apartment’s storm door, Greenway could see an older woman on the floor, unable to move.

The Postal Service employee went inside and helped her get to a hospital bed in the living room.

He then called 911 and his supervisor, who came to the apartment to help until paramedics arrived.

Greenway later learned the customer had broken a rib in the fall.
